If you are thinking about hiring a campervan in New Zealand, you need to keep in mind that there are three roads in New Zealand where it is prohibited to use the leased vehicle and Camper van. These places include a ninety-mile beach, skippers Canyon Road, and ball Hutt Road.

It is recommended to do not drive and take your campervan on these roads because there will be no insurance police to stop you from going on these roads. But you should not do anything because if something happens to your vehicle on these roads, then the insurance will be null and void.

You will be the one who will be liable to pay for all the costs to cover the insurance in case of an accident. It is recommended not to want this rose because it is better to be safe than sorry later.

4. Waivers

It is important to note that waivers only apply to the first incident when hiring a campervan in New Zealand.

5. Tires and windscreen replacement

When hiring a campervan for traveling in New Zealand, it is essential to note that windscreen replacement and tires do not come under insurance, and they will not be covered for you. Suppose they can be substituted for you if you choose a high level of cover and insurance. Do keep that in mind when you are driving and drive safely.

6. Drugs

The insurance gets null and void if the person driving the Camper is drunk or under the influence of drugs. So, make sure that you do not indulge in such activities when you are hiring a campervan because if an accident happens, then you will be the one who will have to pay for it.
