Do I Get a Good SHTF Weapon in a Shotgun Citadel Boss 25?

Last Updated on 06/21/2023 by Brian John

Let’s imagine a scenario…society goes to pot, and you have the chance to choose a single site hits the fan (SHTF) weapon, what would it be? In our eyes, it would be a shotgun Citadel Boss 25 - mainly because of the raw power and shock factor. It’s sometimes enough to scare would-be attackers away, right? However, does that opinion bear up to scrutiny?

Rather than simply taking our word as gospel, we encourage you to take a look at our blog in which we look at what makes it a great option when the apocalypse comes!

The Shotgun Citadel Boss 25 Would Scare Off Anyone!

The first thing to note about any shotgun is the loudness of it all. Fire a shotgun indoors and you’ll be wondering where your hearing went for at least an hour or two. When you fire a shotgun Citadel Boss 25 it's often scary to the firer, so imagine what it would be like if you were to hear it when trying to break into someone's property!

We can tell you from firsthand experience that it's the very definition of shock and awe, so this is the first reason why it would be the first weapon we reached for in a crisis.

Sheer Stopping Power In Your Hands

The next reason why a shotgun should be your first pick is the sheer stopping power it puts in your hands. Fire a 9mm round at an intruder and you might put them down in one shot, but it's highly unlikely that's the outcome. First of all, you have to hit the person with a pistol, which is not exactly a given.

However, if you were to react to an intruder with a shotgun and you hit them, they are not going to get up quickly. In fact, there's a very good chance they won't get up at all. It’s a little like getting hit by a freight train. This is major reason #2 that we would have no other weapon for self-defence.

Easy-Aiming For Certain Hits

As we just mentioned, pistols are tough to use in terms of accuracy for people who only use weapons in a crisis. However, shotguns have a great spread, meaning, it’s a matter of pointing in the general direction and pulling the trigger. In this kind of scenario, you actually have to try and miss, not to hit the target, so wide is the sweet spot.

You don’t have to be a gun expert to hit an intruder or attacker with a shotgun, as you only need a pair of hands and a trigger finger.

The Shotgun Citadel Boss 25 is Our Go-to SHTF Weapon Choice

So, in summary, we have a shotgun which is not only easy to aim but also possesses unmatched close-quarters stopping power and is about as easy to aim as can be. When things go down, there’s nothing we'd be happier to have at our side than a Boss 25.

Throw in the fact that this particular shotgun has a super-cool AR-15 style and is available for a shade under 300 bucks and you quickly see how it’s as popular as it is.

Should the massively loud noise not stop an attacker, the cartridges surely will. While we don’t think that the apocalypse is coming anytime soon, it pays to be ready. The weapon you choose is entirely up to you, but you have to admit, this is a pretty appealing option to consider.
